The Atmosphere for Miracles

We have a mission statement for our worship team, for which I am the pastor. Part of it says, “We create an atmosphere where the miraculous can happen.” But what do I mean by that?

We must put ourselves in the atmosphere of expectation, in the presence of Jesus. Jesus can only do what we BELIEVE He can do for us (what we will ALLOW Him to do for us). In worship, we start to elevate Him and speak words of love and admiration for Him; and as we do that, several things happen to create the perfect environment for miracles:

  1. God inhabits the praises of His people. That means where we are worshipping and singing to Him, giving our hearts to Him, He is right there looking into our gaze. His glory is poured out in a tangible way when we invite Him. That’s all He’s waiting for is an invitation. He won’t just barge in. But when we invite Him into our lives through worship, He draws close, and He opens the door to Himself! It is impossible to be in the presence of Jesus and remain unchanged. When He is here, we are forced to decide whether we believe in Him or not, because neutrality becomes very hard in the face of His tangible presence. We are confronted with spiritual reality, and it gets stronger than the pull of this earth.

  2. Our spirits grow full of expectancy as we set aside our problems. What we focus on will grow, and focusing on Jesus produces faith and expectation. In worship, we refocus our attention and affection on Jesus, rather than our circumstances. As we do that, we are reminded of His power and His promises. We can’t help but get our expectations up because of His amazing power. We are unlimited because He is unlimited. Suddenly, that sickness or situation seems weak in comparison. It’s easier to have faith in God when you are worshipping Him, beholding Him for who He is.

  3. Worship reorders our priorities to receive the greater, versus the lesser things, of this life. When the two sisters, Mary and Martha had Jesus over to their house, Martha was obsessed over DOING things for Jesus, while Mary was obsessed with learning from Jesus and sitting at His feet in rapt attention. She gave Him first attention when He was in the room. Worship means “first kiss,” and that’s the only kind of life-offering God accepts. FIRST-priority kind of fellowship is what worship is all about. God doesn’t receive second place. He won’t accept half of us. He won’t live in the same house as us if we have a mistress (a false idol). Only first-priority fellowship honors Him properly. And only first-priority fellowship can receive a supernatural miracle. Why couldn’t Jesus do any miracles in His hometown? Their lack of honor and belief could not receive from Him. But when complete sinners and even non-Jewish people (without a covenant) fell on their faces in worship, hailing Jesus as “Son of David!” and “Messiah!” and “Worthy One!” they received their miracle.

  4. When we are in the presence of the Healer, the physical realm and the spiritual realm react! Demons start cringing and running in terror. Angels start joining in the worship and bringing blessings into the earth realm. Jesus’ love settles our souls, quieting them down long enough for us to hear His voice and receive Him.

Fellowship with Jesus is truly the greatest gift we received through His work on the cross. It was the restoration of this friendship with God that tore the veil in the Holy of Holies. Suddenly, mankind had access to the very high and holy courts of God! And in that place of worship, we are transformed from soul-led to spirit-led. Therefore, we can hear and think the thoughts of God. We can feel His affirmation and His encouragement. Our soul sicknesses are healed, and physical healing often results.

If you are believing God for something, always remember to put yourself at the feet of Jesus. Don’t seek His hand before you’ve sought His face. Don’t prioritize the things of this world over the riches of knowing Him and seeking Him first. But I promise you, when you seek Him first and get in the habit of telling Him what He means to you, everything in life shifts. The greater thing emerges, and the lesser things fade.

So what are you waiting for? Put on some anointed worship music and start giving Jesus your “first kiss” in life. He is a rewarded of them who diligently seek Him!

“And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.”

Scriptures to Calm Anger

I’m definitely a different person than I was with my first two children. I have four now and love it! Thankfully, I’m much more relaxed, focused on enjoying them, more structured but less stressed, and immensely grateful. Above all, I’ve learned how to keep my cool.

I remember with my first two, I was a young mom who felt lost. A few times my husband got home to find the three of us sitting in the rocker bawling our eyes out. 😁 It’s easy to lose sight of the prize when in the trenches of motherhood. I wish I could go back and tell that young mother, “You’re doing great! Everything will be alright.”

But unfortunately, I allowed my stress to bubble over into frustration, exhaustion, and anger. I’m not proud to say I went through a season where I battled fits of anger. It wasn’t a long season, but it terrified me. I only yelled at them a few times before God grabbed my attention:

He said, “What if I treated you that way? Look at your child. Be slow to anger and quick to forgive.” I stopped my ranting and looked at my two-year-old. Really looked at them. I saw the look of fear in my child’s eyes and it BROKE me.

I cried and apologized. It was ME throwing the temper tantrum, and it was ugly. I cried out to God to help me change, and He did. I started speaking peace and patience over myself. I wrote down a lot of scriptures on anger, peace, and patience. And it changed our home. I want to share those scriptures with you!

And enjoy this wild, wonderful ride called parenthood. No one is perfect. When you blow it, apologize. When they blow it, forgive.

Take it from a mom of four: this season of raising littles goes by too fast to not be grateful and enjoy even the tough moments. I’ve learned to let myself off the hook a bit when I need to. And to let my kids off the hook when they need it. Grace and joy are so worth it.

SCRIPTURES TO CALM ANGER

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭18‬ ‭

““In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“A person of honor will put an argument to rest. Only the stupid want to pick a fight.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20‬:‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭25‬:‭28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.”

‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And fathers, don’t have unrealistic expectations for your children or else they may become discouraged.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭21‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Often, anger is a secondary emotion rooted in anxiety/fear, hopelessness, shame, etc. So dealing with fear is important.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”

‭‭James‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Scriptures On Identity

There’s nothing more important than speaking God’s Word over our identity. So here are some scriptures to start with.

Scriptures About Identity:

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” —Genesis 1:27 KJV

“Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” —Psalms 34:5 NLT

“Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” —Psalm 17:7

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” —Hebrews 12:2 NLT

“Listen, Jacob, to the One who created you, Israel, to the one who shaped who you are. Do not fear, for I, your Kinsman-Redeemer, will rescue you. I have called you by name, and you are mine. When you pass through the deep, stormy sea, you can count on me to be there with you. When you pass through raging rivers, You will not drown. When you walk through persecution like fiery flames, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you, for I am your Savior, Yahweh, your mighty God, the Holy One of Israel! I give up Egypt as the price to set you free, Cush and Seba in exchange to bring you back. Since you are cherished and precious in my eyes, and because I love you dearly and want to honor you, I willingly give up nations in exchange for you—a man to save your life.” —Isaiah 43 TPT

“I have never called you ‘servants,’ because a master doesn’t confide in his servants, and servants don’t always understand what the master is doing. But I call you my most intimate and cherished friends, for I reveal to you everything that I’ve heard from my Father.” —John 15:15

“But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours. Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs.” —Isaiah 61:6-7 AMPC

“You will be called priests of the Lord, ministers of our God. You will feed on the treasures of the nations and boast in their riches. Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” —Isaiah 61:6-7 NLT

“Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” —Psalms 34:5 NLT

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” —Hebrews 12:2 NLT

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” — 1 Peter 2:9-10 NKJV

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. Don’t compromise your identity as a child of the Master.” —2 Corin. 5:20

“But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.” —Philippians 3:20-21 NLT

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” ‭‭—Jeremiah‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” —2 Corin. 5:17 KJV

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” —Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.” —1 John‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.” ‭‭—Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭NLT‬‬

My Vision of Heaven, End-Time Events, and the “Great Harvest”

IMG_0129.jpeg

On Feb. 6, 2020, God have me an audible prophetic vision showing me a glimpse into what is happening right now in the spiritual world, what’s on God’s heart in these last moments of history, and what we as Christians need to be doing. With the world shutting down over Covid-19 Coronavirus, I believe that God wanted me to tell the church that this can be our finest hour! It’s time for The Great Harvest, as people are searching for hope and peace. We have no need to fear, but only to be about God’s business!

As I share the vision I had in this YouTube video, please be thinking and praying about what this means for your life and how you can apply it to your decisions. I believe this is a time of stripping away the distractions and discovering our destinies to reach others. It’s a spiritual pause to reflect and recalibrate. It’s a season of bringing in the harvest!
Check out my YouTube video detailing this amazing and life-altering experience, and don’t forget to check back soon for more videos. Thanks.

Strap On Your Helmet

Anyone else love a good headband? I’m so happy they are back in style! But you know what? Even though it looks stylish, that’s all it is. It’s there for looks. 💃

🆘It’s not going to protect me if I’m riding a motorcycle. It will be useless if a rock is thrown at my head. I’m gonna need a helmet for that. The Bible talks about the “helmet” of salvation, using a metaphor to describe what our brand new life of salvation can do for our minds. Unfortunately, many of us are wearing our Christian salvation like a useless headband—just there for looks but powerless to help us or others. We haven’t learned to put on our helmet... ⛑

🚴🏼‍♀️. When we race through this life, we are going to encounter dangerous thoughts, imaginations, ideas, beliefs, or arguments. Sometimes, those thoughts can hit us right upside the head and make us fall to the ground. ‼️ The Bible talks about the “fiery darts of the enemy”— those are thoughts or beliefs that are wrong. Different than what God says. And you know what? Many of us put up with those thoughts, keep them around, start to believe them, then start to LIVE them. One day, our minds and lives have been totally overtaken by a thought that has wrecked our destinies.

➡️BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!

⛑ The helmet of salvation is this - a mind renewed to the thoughts and beliefs of God. When we were born again, our SPIRIT became brand new. It has NO PROBLEM believing God, because it is alive to God and dead to sin. We are now risen with Christ! It is no longer I that lives but Christ that lives within me. So HOW do I get all messed up, even though I am God’s child? WHY do you and I lose it sometimes?🤷🏼‍♀️

👉🏼We leave our helmet at home.

👉🏼We start living out of our soul (mind, will, emotions) instead of living with our Spirit in charge.

👉🏼We consciously choose to listen to lies, surrounding ourselves with bad stuff instead of good.

👉🏼We stop looking at ourselves in the mirror of God’s Word, so we forget who we are. 🚷

💖Now, all along, our spirit is just fine. Our spirit is at perfect peace because it’s alive to God. However, we are usually living more conscious of our souls, while our spirit’s still small voice is buried amidst screaming messages all around us. We are often not applying the helmet of salvation to our minds, and thus we open our SOUL realm up to whatever the heck Satan decides to send our way. Or it’s something our family member says. Or it’s something that strange lady at the grocery store implies. Wherever those mind-wrecking thoughts come from, they should’ve just bounced right off, like a rubber ball 🏀 bounces off of a concrete floor. When they don’t, it’s because we aren’t conscious enough of our salvation.

Thoughts like, “You’re gonna die of a heart attack,” or, “What’s WRONG with you? You’re so lame,” or, “You’ll never be as _______ as so-and-so,” are NOT THE TRUTH. But I know I’m not the only one who has allowed thoughts like these to hit me in the gut and rock my day. It’s on those days that I have forgotten to put my helmet on. Sure I’m a Christian, but I’m treating my salvation more like a headband, for show, than as a helmet, for life-or-death protection. I must have a revelation of WHO I AM AS A SAVED CHILD OF GOD, EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE.

I need Jesus more than the air I breathe, and this faith I’m living isn’t a collection of cute slogans or handy mind tricks. It’s a matter of life or death.

❗️When my body was sick, with no answers, it was the healing provided to me through my salvation covenant that got me healed.

❗️When my husband started having all the symptoms of a blood clot in his lung, along with warnings from the hospital that this was a life or death situation, it was the power of our authority provided with our salvation that caused us to command it to go, and the doctors couldn’t find it anymore.

❗️When I struggled with mild depression several years ago after a season of change and stress, it was applying my helmet of salvation daily that set me free.

❗️When a car accident should have happened but suddenly the car pulling out in front of us was somehow BEHIND US, it was calling on the name of Jesus as His child that moved that situation out of my way.

❗️When panic attacks paralyzed me as a young girl, it was standing on the power of my salvation that removed fear and brought peace.

❗️When betrayals and things to break my heart have come, it has been the knowledge of my salvation—that I am my Father God’s treasured possession—which has healed my wounds.💝

It’s life or death, friend. ⛑

You and I MUST:

❤️ KNOW what salvation has paid for.

❤️ Believe every promise provided with salvation.

❤️ Set our minds on (meditate, remind ourselves constantly of) who we are because of salvation.

Here are just a few scriptures that you and I need to apply daily as our “helmet” against evil thoughts. (Read and then share some of your favorite scriptures of Truth below!)

Galatians 4:7 “So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”

Ephesians 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

Ephesians 2:4-5 “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.”

Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Isaiah 43:4 “Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.”

1 Peter 2:9-10 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

…but Salvation is a helmet, not a headband.

…but Salvation is a helmet, not a headband.
